Health Disparities

I chose to talk about Health Disparities because it is something that often affects our youths and is not spoken about enough. Good health is associated with academic success. Higher levels of protective health behaviors and lower levels of health risk behaviors are been associated with higher academic grades among high school students. Health risks such as teenage pregnancy, poor dietary choices, inadequate physical activity, physical and emotional abuse, substance abuse, and gang involvement have a significant impact on how well students perform in school. As a high school student myself, I found it interesting and informative to research this topic.

I chose each image in my vision board based on what I hope to achieve by the year 2035. I believe that each image posted IS achievable if enough hard work and determination is put in and because I know I can achieve whatever it is I put my mind to, I will work assiduously.
